Install

Three steps, about a minute.

  1. Open the download

    Double-click VassalAgent.dmg in your Downloads folder. A small window opens.

  2. Drag it to Applications

    Drag the Vassal Agent icon onto the Applications folder, right next to it.

  3. Open it

    Open Vassal Agent from Applications or Launchpad. Agree to the terms and press Connect Claude.

Connect Claude does the rest. It sets up Claude in the background and opens Claude's sign-in page in your usual browser. Sign in, come back, and it's ready for its first job. What you'll see next.

Temporary

If your Mac says it can't check the app

The first time you open it, macOS may say it could not verify Vassal Agent. That's expected for now: the app is signed by us, and Apple's own check (notarization) is still being set up. You only do this once, and this section goes away when Apple's check is in place.

The app still asks before it sends, pays, submits or deletes anything.

  1. 1In the message, click Done. Don't move it to the Trash.
  2. 2Open the Apple menu in the top-left corner and choose System Settings.
  3. 3Click Privacy & Security in the sidebar, then scroll down to Security.
  4. 4Next to "Vassal Agent was blocked", click Open Anyway.
  5. 5Enter your Mac password (or use Touch ID), then click Open Anyway once more. It opens, and it won't ask again.
